Undesired cropping of transparent images

Postby Gigi Marzullo » July 14th, 2017, 4:04 am

I noticed GAF crops transparent images by default. Is there an optionto avoid this?
Sometimes it's not needed to optimize because atlas is fairly controlled, and if the image needs to be swapped with another one at runtime, they do not align anymore and things are displaced.

Hi,

You can make some workaround with 0.01% transparent pixel in the corner of your shape, so GAF will include all the shape with this 0.01% transparent pixel.

Yes that's exactly what I did.
Wouldn't be better to have an option to turn this optimization off?
I mean, you would life the default option to crop transparency, but you can decide to disable the optimization.

Yes, this option could be helpful indeed.
We may add it in some future Converter releases.
Thanks Gigi.
