Any plans in near future to create library, that supports Starling 2.0?

Hi Anton,

We are already working on the new version of the library. In this version we will redesign some items in architecture (including rendering mechanism). All optimization are focused on playback performance and decreasing memory usage. The new version will work with the Starling 2.0. We will post an information in our blog when the new version will be available. Stay tuned!

Can't wait for this update! By any chance, do you have an ETA for it?

Not earlier than Starling 2.0 will be released. Because this version will work only with Starling 2.0 and higher.

I also hope GAF improve work flow in the near future. Now, if i want move a DisplayObject from a gafmovieclip to another gafmovieclip, it has a bit complex, this is my way.

Code: Select all
var mc1:GAFMovieClip = container.mc1;
var containerOther:GAFMovieClip = containerOther;
containerOther.addChild(mc1.copy());
container.removeChild(mc1, true);

I know this is not easy but I think it so great if I can use work flow same as Starling
Code: Select all
var mc1:GAFMovieClip = container.mc1;
var containerOther:GAFMovieClip = containerOther;
containerOther.addChild(mc1);

Starling 2.0 released and merged to master branch on github. Can you give us some news/ETA about new version?

Hi,

Sorry, but library for Starling 2.0 is paused. For now we don't know when we will continue this work.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks.

I really hope this gets the attention it deserves.

Updating the code base to work with Starling 2.0 is a sign of health and a signal that I can use this product for the foreseeable future.

Not updating means it's not financially worth your time and will eventually be discarded.

Hello, GAF team!

Could you please clarify the situation with library for starling 2.0 or should I search for another animation framework that works with brand-new Starling to use in my project?

Thanks
